Instrumental Camp

Grades: Entering 6th-9th
Description: This instrumental music camp is open to middle school students and incoming MDSA freshmen who play instruments found in their school bands and orchestras! Participants will learn about various musical genres such as classical, jazz, and play some arrangements that will fit our ensemble! Games will also be played to further develop understanding of counting and some improvisation! Students must be able to read music, and the camp will be at a beginner/intermediate level. Performance can be held in the theatre at the end of the last session.
What to Bring: Students will need their instrument. Music, folders, and music stands will be provided. They are welcome to bring their water bottles.
