Suzanne Smith Hampson ‘98
Suzanne was a four year varsity player for both basketball and softball and is one of only two girls who have been twice named Sailor Athlete of the Year, 1996 and 1998. She was named the Most Valuable Player for both sports during her career as she helped the 1998 softball team to the Baltimore Archdiocesan Catholic League Championship.
Garnering honors as a member of the All-Catholic League softball team for four years she was also named to the Sunpapers' All-Baltimore City/County from 1996-1998. Suzanne was the City/County Player of the Year in 1998, as she led the Sailors in slugging, on-base percentage, runs, triples, and stolen bases. Suzanne hit .486 during her softball career. She was also a four year member of the varsity basketball team.
Suzanne is a native of Columbia, Maryland and is a graduate of UMBC and University of Maryland’s Medical School. She is currently in her final Residency year at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, where she resides with her husband, Andrew.
